XVI The Tower

Change is an inevitable part if growth. It may have served you once, to be in these walls. You may have grown a garden and built what you thought was a solid ground, but the plants are overgrown, the building is on a sink hole and walls are cracking. The roots tear the foundation away rock by rock.

You may feel exposed and vulnerable but that’s the only way you can spread your wings wide enough to carry you away from destruction.

Accept the reality of your situation and find another way.

Break the chain.

Shadow side: The tower is crumbling whether or not you choose to accept it. Trying to fill the cracks will get you nowhere with gaping holes, and you’re putting yourself and potentially others at risk. Walls are crumbling faster than you can outrun it on those rickety stairs, one of the steps is bound to give out. If you don’t trust your wings and swallow your pride, you’re sure to crumble with everything else.

Aubrey de Grey wisely said “Don’t cling to a mistake just because you spent a lot of time making it.”

It may have been the right thing once, but that doesn’t mean it’s meant to be that way forever.
